Scholarship for Rural Underprivileged meritorious Students of Rural areas

Scholarship Distribution Program to 1. Ms. SAMPILI DEBBARMA, from Champaknagar ; 2. Mr. UDAI DEBBARMA, from Champaknagar ; 3. Ms. BIJITA REANG, from Chellagang ; 4. Mr. NELSON REANG, from Chellagang ; 5. Mr. SAHAV KAIPENG, from Twidu

Issue : Poor and underprivileged students in remote hilly areas under TTAADC have always been deprived of quality education. To overcome this threat of gradual decline in interest towards education among rural students, UTF members decided to promote the reorientation of quality education among rural students by sponsoring scholarships to meritorious students in rural areas, whose families weren’t capable of affording their educational expenses.

Accordingly, Ms. SAMPILI DEBBARMA, Daughter of Pusharai Debbarma from Champaknagar, Mr. UDAI DEBBARMA, Son of Sunil Debbarma from Champaknagar, Ms. BIJITA REANG, Daughter of Rajendra Reang from Chellagang, Mr. NELSON REANG, Son of Jiten Reang from Chellagang and Mr. SAHAV KAIPENG, Son of Late Basanlal Kaipeng from Twidu were selected and decided to be awarded the scholarship by the UTF. Subsequently on 17.02.2019, the selected students were officially introduced to the members and on 08.06.2019, these students were officially handed over the scholarships through a programme after completing few official papers.

“Lessons learnt : Education can indeed open the eyes of and ignorant and motivate a society through the dedicated educationists towards a reformed society. We hope these small catalysts may react nuclear in every young minds of rural villages to educate themselves so as to educate their families to break the chains of superstitious practices and inspire the villagers towards consciousness for development and welfare both inwardly and outwardly.”
