Agartala, 2 February, 2021 : Tapan Tripura, who has lost his parents, Lt. Bankumar Tripura & Lt. Malati Tripura, is currently residing in his sister and brother in laws’ home. He is pursuing his studies in Shyamsing High Secondary School, Sabroom, South Tripura, who also scored the highest marks in Class – IX examination. He used to walk everyday for 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach his school. Besides that, he also works as daily labor to meet his expenses by skipping his classes after every two consecutive days.
Similarly, another student named Bharat Kishore Tripura, S/O Ram Kishore Tripura and Lt. Sholaxmi Tripura from Magroom ADC village, Baishnabpur, Sabroom, South Tripura, who is pursuing B.A (Eng Hon), 3rd semester in Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar college, Belonia, is also facing financial problems in sustaining his education further. Bharat’s father is a daily wage labourer, he has other four siblings who are also studying in schools. Since Bharat’s father is a daily wage labourer and only bread earner of the family, he alone is finding in providing affordable education to his children. Bharat is a brilliant child and good in studies. He scored first division marks both in madhyamik and +2 final examination. Even in his B.A semesters, Bharat is doing excellent.
On a request basis, Team UTF after learning about their conditions and evaluating their capability through written and oral test, decided to grant Tapan, a Bi-cycle and provide UTF EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP to Bharat in order to ease their difficulty in accessing proper education.
Today, some members from team UTF went to Tapan’s school and gifted him the Bi-cycle. This could happen only with all of your help and support. May you all be filled with enormous blessings.
